Project Details
Confronting neutrino mass models with cosmology and terrestrial experiments (N03)
Subject Area
Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, Fields
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 283604770
We aim to construct models of neutrino mass generation which explain the striking differences between the neutrino and the quark parameters, and derive consequences of these models for low energy observables, collider experiments and cosmology. We will focus on simple extensions of the Standard Model, among them models with several copies of the Standard Model Higgs doublet, and models of radiative neutrino mass generation. We will also apply a similar methodology to construct viable models with sterile neutrinos in the eV-, keV- or GeV-mass range.
