Biases and decision impairments in markets (A04)
Subject Area
Economic Theory
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 280092119
Project A04 considers biases in decision making that arise from “decision impairments” like time pressure or cognitive load, as well as their interactions in markets. In the CRC’s second funding period, the project will extend this research in three ways. First, the team will study additional sources of impairment, such as adverse economic conditions and distractions. Second, a new focus lies on the awareness of one’s biases that are due to impairments. Third, the level of complexity of the decision environment is viewed as an impairment.
