Aim of the project is the development and evaluation of periodically operating membrane distributors with mass and energy coupling in one compact apparatus for maximal synergy effects. This concept uses permanent the total reactor/catalyst if oxidative and thermal dehydrogenation takes place without slip or separate regeneration periods. Therefore an optimal transmembrane oxygen flux, adjusted temporal with respect to catalyst activity and coking, has to be investigated. The control of temperature and front velocity is realized efficiently in one apparatus by distributed dosing via membranes. Model based investigations (1D and 2D) lead to identify optimal dosing profiles and to understand the compatibility of catalyst and membrane.
