Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
We have developed the first inversion code for the polarized radiative transfer equation capable of inferring the real three-dimensional topology (x, y, z) of the physical parameters in the atmosphere of the Sun in a way that is consistent with both Maxwell’s equations and the magneto-hydrostatic equations. The code can be employed to calculate accurate electric currents in the solar atmosphere, thereby opening the possibility of detecting non-potential configurations of the magnetic field before energetic and explosive events, that can affect the interplanetary medium and the higher layers of Earth’s atmosphere, occur.
