Thermal Management Model for adjustment of Colored Conditions of metal materials (S03)

Project S03 intends the derivation of thermal management models for adjustment of Colored Condi-tions of metal specimen and materials on quite different scales (time and length). Therefore, local and integral thermal models are to be derived for molding and primary shaping as well as coloring (e.g. by heat treatment) and to be coupled with material adapted solidification models for derivation of the resulting microstructures. Based on these Thermo-Models the transfer function may be derived that allows derivation from micro- to macro-samples. Scalability of cooling and coloring behavior is a major issue of the project on thermal management.
