Despite numerous research projects on the performance and efficiency of gas turbines with pressure gain combustion, their part load and transient operation has not been investigated yet. The aim of this project is therefore the development and optimization of suitable concepts for off-design operation of both the pulsed detonation combustor and the entire gas turbine engine. This will be achieved via a three-step approach, which has already proven itself in the 2nd period of the SFB 1029.
