We investigate form a theoretical perspective the problem of how quantum systems react to the influence of general, fully relativistic (Einsteinian) gravitational fields. We aim for the formulation of a Quantum-Equivalence-Principle (QEP) that rules general couplings between quantum-matter and gravity. Using this we will, e.g., give reliable estimates of gravity's influence on large-scale atom interferometry and clock-corrections. QEP will provide the theoretical basis for the design of novel quantum-tests of Einstein's equivalence principle (Universality of free fall and redshift).
