Project Details
Development and refinement of mouse models for studying stress resilience (Z02)
Subject Area
Biological Psychiatry
Term
from 2016 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 264810226
The overarching aim of this central project is to set the animal experimental basis of this CRC in order to promote the understanding of neurobiological mechanisms underlying resilience to stress-related mental dysfunctions. Z02 will continue to work on the improvement of resilience models and the definition of valid resilience-related outcomes and will follow a twofold strategy: First, Z02 provides state-of-the art service for mouse models to be used in other subprojects of this CRC. Second, Z02 will address a number of specific fundamental scientific questions about the validity and refinement of resilience models thereby advancing mechanistic insights but also contributing to the development of a better conceptual-theoretical framework.
