The administrative project is responsible for the administrative handling of the CRC’s activities tasks and manages the central funds for guests, travel and student assistants, workshops, coordination, equal opportunities, and the Mercator Fellows. The tasks include supporting communication within the CRC. To this end, a scientific colloquium and closed meetings are organized in combination with an international school or an international conference. In order to counteract the underrepresentation of women in chemistry and physics and to sustainably increase the proportion of women in the natural sciences, a series of measures are implemented to increase the visibility of women and to encourage young women to work and pursue a career in science. Project Z is responsible for the guest programme, for establishing and maintaining collaborations, as well as for developing and improving their own scientific skills.
