i-Oscar is the SFB's integrated training program. Its aim is to educate and train the participating master students, PhD students and postdocs to the highest quality standards. In addition to technical and scientific training modules such as intensive weeks, mini-symposia and seminar series, i-Oscar also offers supervision elements during the PhD thesis work and supports the personal development of young scientists through soft skills courses and a voluntary counselling service for postdocs. The various measures are tailored to the respective needs of the young scientists, with a focus on their scientific independence.
