The program consists of high-resolution PMAS observations of LARS galaxies for which extensive HST and other multiwavelength data exist. The new observations cover the galaxies rest-frame range from Hbeta to [OIII] 5007, which will complement our PMAS Halpha data gained in 2011 and 2012. We aim to decouple different kinematic components of the ionized gas and to derive stellar kinematics of 13 local Lyman alpha emitters, which are part of the Lyman Alpha Reference Sample. In addition, we will be able to trace the ionization and establish extinction maps, which will be used to correct for dust attenuation, and calculate accurate star formation rates at kpc scales. The proposed observations combined with already available multi-wavelength data will allow us to improve the understanding how kinematics and the dust distribution influence the escape of the Lyman-alpha photons.
