The DFG senate has set up the priority program No. 1934 - Dispersity, structure and phase changes of proteins and bio agglomerates in biotechnological processes. In the frame of the priority program the degradation of sensitive proteins and bio agglomerates by the process environment during fermentation, down-stream processing and formulation will be investigated. The priority program is addressed to scientists working in the fields of chemical and process engineering, especially particle technology and biochemical engineering, as well as of biology. These research fields are connected today not strongly enough. Therefore, in the priority program these research fields are cross-linked intensively. The SPP coordinator has to fulfil several tasks: For the strong support of the networking regular meetings between the involved working groups (principal investigators and co-workers/PhD-students) have to be organized. In this priority program especially workshops without principal investigators shall take place. Moreover the organization of meetings regarding different interdisciplinary themes as well as of summer schools and the invitation of guest scientist belong to the coordinator tasks. Besides the organisation of the meetings the accounting of the meetings and of the stays of the guest scientists as well as the documentation of the results of the priority program in the internet are part of the coordinators duty. For the accomplishment of the time consuming tasks and for travelling to the meetings financial and personal resources are required.
