Project Details
Phenotyping of pulmonary hypertension and cor pulmonale (CP02)
Subject Area
Toxicology, Laboratory Medicine
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268555672
CP02 aims to provide comprehensive and standardized expertise in screening, phenotyping, and characterizing animal models of pulmonary hypertension and cor pulmonale. It supports CRC1213 projects in addressing their hypotheses through established noninvasive and invasive techniques such as echocardiography, fluorescence molecular tomography, microscopic computed tomography, magnetic resonance tomography, and state-of-the-art catheterization techniques (pressure-volume loops). CP02 also provides training/education of scientific and non-scientific personal. CP02 will run individual sub-projects aimed at addressing questions related to the contribution of lung and myocardial microvasculature in adapting to pressure overload in different rat strains and genders.
