Project Details
Forming of piezo-metal-compounds and numerical investigation of shaping operation and its influence on functionality (B01)
Subject Area
Primary Shaping and Reshaping Technology, Additive Manufacturing
Term
from 2006 to 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 21440441
The main focus in subproject B01 lies on the realization of a shaping process chain, in which a robust production of structural parts with integrated piezoelectric transducers can be achieved. A fully automated application of piezo modules and adhesives increases process stability and reproducibility. A temperature-curing adhesive applied at the outer region of the double-layered compound provides supporting effects and encapsulation of an uncured inner adhesive, which reduces the friction induced loads due to lubricating effect. With numerical methods different heating strategies and alternative process parameters will be investigated.
