Term
from 2016 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 278529602
Hematopoietic transcription factors are critical for lineage fate and differentiation. The effect of transcription factor alterations will be analyzed in several murine and human models with focus on hematopoietic development, leukemogenesis and therapy resistance. In particular, the project will investigate the collaboration of GATA2 mutations or other candidates with the leukemic AML1-ETO fusion gene in the context of relapsed disease. Moreover, the analysis of epigenetic alterations of hematopoietic transcription factors and T-cell response during the disease course will put a spotlight on the interaction between leukemia cells and their microenvironment.
