Financial assistance is asked for printing the volume 7 of the edition of the so-called Bretke Bible, i.e. for volum 7 of the first translation of the Bible into Lithuanian (a total of 8 volumes in handwriting written in Königsberg and Labiau between 1570 and 1590). The Bretke Bible now records of the Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin. By publishing this 7th volume developed by textual criticism, both a main source of the old Lithuanian language and an unique cultural monument regarding Prussia of the 16th c. would be opened up.
