The project investigates media practices in Morocco and the Moroccan diaspora and analyzes the emergence and reconfiguration of publics and forms of cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region. In the final phase of the project, comparative ethnographic research and socio-informatic de-sign case studies of cooperative media use will allow to explore the conditions of political surveillance and civic cooperation in situations of upheaval, thereby contributing to the further differentiation of theoretical notions of publics that encompass graduated transitions between protected inner and representative outer spaces, as well as their fragmentation and control.
