Project Details
Changes of the top–of–atmosphere reflectance, brightness temperatures, and cloud properties in the Arctic from 1995 to the present derived from satellite data (B01)
Subject Area
Atmospheric Science
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268020496
In the warming Arctic, we expect significant changes in the radiation balance, arising from the melting of snow and ice and changes in cloud properties. In this study, using and analyzing satellite observations, we shall quantify these changes and their role in increasing the pan-Arctic surface temperatures.
