Transport von CLAVATA Rezeptoren und Signalmodifikatoren zwischen Membranen (B04)
Subject Area
Plant Biochemistry and Biophysics
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 267205415
Plant cells express a bewildering number of membrane localised receptor-like kinases (RLKs) that recognise diffusible signals from the apoplasm or from pathogens. Our long-term goal is to understand how the interplay of diverse RLKs can decode peptide ligand signalling into highly specific cellular responses. As a paradigm, we will here investigate the complexes, intermembrane transport and turnover of RLKs in the CLV signalling pathway that control the plant stem cell niches, and study interacting membrane-associated heterotrimeric G-proteins and cytoplasmic kinases that act immediately downstream in Arabidopsis thaliana.
