In current digital habitats, users have severe difficulties understanding and specifying their privacy settings. Considering location sharing and information spreading in social networks as a use case, we introduce the use of feedback on simulated threat examples to address this problem. Threat simulation generates hypothetical privacy-critical events, entailing concrete examples (particular information reaching particular recipients) that are privacy-critical according to an explicit user model; a feedback loop through simulated events serves to elaborate the user`s privacy policy, without real-world privacy loss. In situ interactions on wearable computing technology serve to fine-tune the user model and user policies.
