In the first funding period, we integrated a 60 MHz NMR-spectrometer and designed and built a new spectrometer based on external cavity quantum cascade laser (SEC-EC-QCL-IR) allowing to demonstrate the capabilities of the new multidimensional spectroscopy for specific functional groups. Now we intend to improve the sensitivity, extend the range of application by implementing new laser sources, develop specially designed columns for the SEC and capillaries for the IR and NMR-spectroscopy, new techniques for improving the signal to noise ratio in the SEC and further improvements in pulsing sequences.
