The project aims at studying emotions of audiences in the frame of professional football games on the one hand, and religious Christian large-scale events on the other hand. Based on the analysis of emotional expressions, the framings, and the corresponding knowledge, we will use videography, media data and ethnographic methods to address the following questions: How are emotions produced in these situational collectives? What are the shifts between the emotional repertoires? What forms of affective resonance are to be found, and which factors enable or limit affective resonance?
