Project Details
Function-oriented planning of the machining process of hybrid components (B04)
Subject Area
Metal-Cutting and Abrasive Manufacturing Engineering
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 252662854
The aim of subproject B04 is to take into account the required surface and subsurface properties of hybrid components as early as the design phase by integrating them into the process planning. The findings generated so far from the first and second funding period are now being transferred to the more complicated thermomechanical load case in external longitudinal turning. The interrelationships between process control variables and surface and subsurface properties are examined in orthogonal cutting and transferred to the three-dimensional stress state during turning with an innovative simulation approach in order to expand the inverse process model developed so far.
