Project Details
Determination of the deformability and the resulting component properties in the impact extrusion of serially arranged hybrid semi-finished parts (B03)
Subject Area
Primary Shaping and Reshaping Technology, Additive Manufacturing
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 252662854
In subproject B03, wear-protection measures are developed and evaluated to increase process stability in an impact extrusion process with hybrid pre-joined semi-finished products consisting of steel and aluminium. The suitability of locally adapted tool coatings and topographies is investigated through model tests and further transferred to a multi-stage forming process with locally optimised workpiece lubrication. The topography and geometry deviations of the formed components as well as the modular extrusion tools serve as evaluation criteria, which are compared to the initial state by optical measurement methods.
