Project Details
Spatial adaption of material properties of forming parts using surfacing techniques to produce graded hybrid components (A04)
Subject Area
Joining and Separation Technology
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 252662854
In the subproject A04, the development and manufacturing of highly loaded hybrid components with locally adapted property profiles is carried out by means of Directed Energy Deposition (DED). With the aid of material simulation, a modified alloy will be developed which is specifically designed in terms of formability, wear and corrosion resistance. By using multispectral in-situ sensor system and machine learning methods, the cladding properties are predicted and a quality control method is established. The use of partial cladding for hybrid components and a model of the cladding geometry are investigated.
