Project Details
Resolution of inflammation in anti-TNF treatment refractory intestinal inflammation (C02)
Subject Area
Gastroenterology
Term
from 2015 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 261193037
Project C02 provides a deeper understanding on the molecular mechanisms that drive resistance to targeted therapies in intestinal inflammation. It will characterize the macrophage specific cell-subtypes that are involved in conferring IL-23 mediated resistance of gut inflammation to anti-TNF treatment and investigate how viral signatures functionally drive IL-23 production and IL23R expression in mucosal macrophages. These data allow insights into modifications of the composition of the mucosal immune landscape in response to therapeutic pressure by anti-TNF treatment.
