Characterization of the pro-resolving eosinophil subset in human arthritis and its regulation by anti-rheumatic treatment (A01)
Subject Area

Term
from 2015 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 261193037
In project A01, we will analyze the functional roles of eosinophils subsets in resolution of inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis’ (RA) patients to clarify the cellular and molecular role of resident eosinophils (rEos) in the dynamics of inflammation in RA patients. We will phenotypically characterize eosinophil subsets by single cell RNA sequencing in the blood of RA patients. Expression profiles, metabolic states and secretomes of rEos and inflammatory Eos will be delineated in RA patients treated with anti-rheumatic drugs. Finally, we plan to characterize the pro-resolving function of eosinophils on macrophage polarization in this project.
