Image and Language Processing, Computer Graphics and Visualisation, Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous and Wearable Computing
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 251654672
Our goal is the adaptation of interactive visualization to make it consistent with the input data and provide information in a reliable and trustworthy way. This will be achieved by employing quantitative models that describe the visualization process, perception, and user interaction to identify, mark, and compensate for differences between data and interpretation by humans. In particular, we plan to develop metrics for emergent visual artifacts, integrate them with adaptive layout methods that reduce such artifacts, and extend our techniques from 2D visualization to 3D in order to support mixed reality applications.
