Project Details
Competing symmetries and disorder in topological materials (A06)
Subject Area
Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 258499086
Understanding the stability of edge and surface states of topological materials under breaking of different symmetries or in the presence of disorder is at the heart of this proposal. We will theoretically study new triangular lattice based topological insulators as well as higher-order topological insulators where time-reversal symmetry and crystalline symmetries compete.
