Grammars of Decision-Making: The Philosophic-Action-Theoretical Perspective (A11 [A03])
Subject Area
Practical Philosophy
Term
from 2015 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 252080619
Continuing from the first phase of the project, the philosophical bases of an anti-mentalist and pragmatistic theory of decision-making will be further developed in a manner open to cultural and empirical approaches. To this purpose, two complementary research tracks will be developed, on the one hand looking at the complex role of first-person experience and expressions in decision-making, and on the other at the connections with ‘personality’ as the biographically unfolding human life. In each case the emphasis lies on temporality.
