Project Details
Overcoming intestinal immune dysregulation by metabolic modification during acute graft-versus-host disease (B09)

Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 256073931
The Projekt B09,will follow the hypothesis that one of the factors leading to the immunopathology of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) is a dysregulated intestinal metabolite milieu. They aim to study how the decline of certain metabolites, including linoleic acid and oleic acid, contributes to the impaired immunosuppressive function of immunoregulatory cells during aGvHD. For this, they will use cell culture approaches, murine aGvHD models, genetic mouse models and aGvHD patient samples.
