A fundamental approach to the classification of geometric objects in algebra is via their symmetries, that is, via the description of their automorphisms. This project deals with automorphisms of Enriques surfaces, mainly in positive characteristic. The goal is the classification of Enriques surfaces, whose automorphism group is finite. The main techniques are Torelli theorems, the study of elliptic fibrations on such surfaces, as well as lattice theory.
