Project Details
Immune complex mediated and IgG Fc receptor-dependent recruitment of leukocytes into the skin (C02+)
Subject Area

The formation of immune complexes by immunglobulins and their subsequent binding to Fc-receptors is of central relevance for the induction of protective humoral immune responses in the skin. Immune complexes have important immunoregulatory properties. Our studies demonstrate the relevance of immune complexes for activating a directed migration of Fcγ-expressing leukocytes. Using different Fcγ-receptor deficient leukocytes and in vivo infection- and autoimmune models, we will study the immunologic relevance and the molecular mechanisms of immune complex-directed migration in skin.
