Project Details
GRK 829: Accumulation of Single Molecules to Nanostructures
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry
Term
from 2002 to 2005
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 273539
Ten research groups in the Institute of Physics and the Institute of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science have created an unique research program dealing with the following topics:-- Synthesis of new molecules with optimized aggregation properties.-- Aggregation of single atoms and molecules to nano-structures.-- Formation of complex nanostructures via a well defined number of molecules.-- Optimisation and control of the optical and electronic properties of aggregated nanostructures.-- Theoretical understanding of structures and corresponding properties of heterogeneous many component systems.-- Parallel to the interdisciplinary research work there will be a curriculum partly in English concentrating on topics in close relation to the research program of the research training group.
