The aim of the present project is to build on the previous projectphase to provide an adaptive framework for the behavioral modelingof cooperative road users. Such a framework is intended to be a setof pre-defined co-operative behavior patterns in the form of formalmodels, as well as to select these situationally and thus successfullyperform cooperative maneuvers. In parallel, a set of rules of conductthat serve as a framework for behavioral co-operative vehicles is to beestablished. These rules of conduct should serve as a so-called“Knigge“ (set of rules of conduct) for autonomous vehicles. They shallspecify rules for safety, but also for the economic efficiency ofautonomous traffic situations and maneuvers. The specificationorientedset of rules for vehicle behavior and the implementationorientedframework is intended to enabling cooperative road users inunpredictable events or conditions to assess the consequences andexamine alternative action plans. In addition, conflicts shall berecognized in action plans and resolved fairly at an early stage. Finally, the concept of the LTS is to be successively introduced to theneeds of real traffic systems. For this purpose, the concept of LTS isto be extended and thus enabled to handle to complex trafficsituations.
