Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 272179
This research training group has been set up to promote education and research in the theoretical and experimental foundations of the field of linguistics. It encompasses the areas of theoretical and psycho-linguistics, experimental psychology, computer science as well as the neuropsychology of language and incorporates them into a coherent interdisciplinary field of study. The special concentration of the program centers around the individual languages (above all: Romance, Germanic and Slavic but also different non-European languages such as certain Indian dialects) and attempts to elucidate their linguistic properties by working within a relatively uniform framework of linguistic description characterized by the most recent advances in grammatical theory and in cognitive science.
