The aim of this research training group is a synthesis of different scientific disciplines: Art history, historical building research, arechitectural and building history, practical and theoretical conservation (historic monuments). The different methodical approaches are applied to the scientific analysis of particular historical monuments. The programme accompanies and supports young researchers and specialists during the progress of their thesis in order to improve their individual knowledge by offering interdisciplinary contacts. The programme includes seminars, lectures, colloquia and excursions on special research projects, involving distinguished scientists from all over Europe.
