Project Details
Scanning probe microscopy: Magnetic structures and topological states (C05)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 247310070
This project investigates the electronic and magnetic real-space structure of frustrated and topological materials down to the nanometer length scale. Our investigations base on magnetic force microscopy and related scanning force techniques combined with in-situ mechanical, magnetic, and electrical stimuli. Moreover, these measurements will be complemented by in-situ transport measurements of anomalous and topological Hall effects at low temperatures. The focus will be the kagome spin-ice system HoAgGe as well as the non-oxy delafossite AgCrSe2 and their related compounds.
