In the proposed project, we propose to use synergies of two research areas in order to obtain completely new insights as well as new algorithms and methods which can be used for person identification in realistic surveillance scenarios. The applied research areas are on the one hand the field of gait-based person identification and on the other hand methods for people tracking from video data. The combination of both research areas and synergies between the two topics shall be exploited to enable new security systems.
