Term
from 2014 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 231064407
21 genomes of 8 moss species were sequenced, assembled, and annotated as a basis for the identification of genetic mechanisms driving morphological variation. For biomimetic transfer, the current state of evolutionary algorithms was mapped in comparison with recent findings of evolution theory. In the second funding phase, the biological findings of the first funding phase will be implemented in the evolutionary design method to find novel bioinspired solutions for application in architecture.
