Project Details
Advanced Light Microscopy (Z03)
Subject Area
Medical Physics, Biomedical Technology
Term
from 2014 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 122491522
The mission of the Z03 project ‘advanced light microscopy’ is to give SFB873 members prime access to cutting-edge equipment and technical expertise required for their projects on four levels: 1) By providing assistance in imaging assay and analysis development. Z03 will engage in pilot experiments to help develop and optimize techniques together with subprojects. 2) By giving access and training to high-end equipment (2-photon microscopy, super resolution imaging, special live imaging equipment, FRAP and FLIM) not available in the home institutions of the members. 3) By providing access to regular confocal microscopes in case equipment in the home institutes is unavailable or used beyond ca-pacity. 4) To allow long term live cell imaging with high spatio-temporal resolution, we are now applying for an advanced light sheet microscope.
