Structure, assembly and function of TRPC and TRPM7 channels in complex with newly identified interaction partners (interactome constituents) (P02)

Deep proteomic analysis identified native TRPM7 and TRPC (TRPC1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) channels in the mammalian brain as large macro-molecular complexes instead of mere channels of four pore-forming subunits. For comprehensive understanding of these macro-molecular assemblies we will determine the 3D structure of selected complexes and analyze their operation by the combined use of cryoEM and functional recordings.
