Subject Area

Term
since 2014
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 232722074
A5 uses a life-span perspective to investigate how surprisal during online language processing affects memory. We will investigate different types of memory, including working memory, episodic memory and false memory. Using behavioural and neurophysiological methods in controlled experimental settings, our overarching goal is to deepen and expand the findings from Phase II and elucidate how developmental aspects affect memory encoding and retrieval of surprising information.
