Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 234149247
Project A02 elucidates the mechanisms and kinetics of formation, crystallisation and dissolution of metal oxides with well-defined nanostructure (colloidal particles, nanostructured films) and the role of water in these processes employing advanced spectroscopic and diffraction techniques. The techniques probe time-resolved under realistic experimental conditions the local coordination of atoms and molecules (Raman), their oxidation state (XANES), size and shape (SAXS), crystalline phases (XRD) and electronic structure (PES). In combination with theoretical and experimental input from other CRC members, a comprehensive mechanistic picture of the respective processes will be derived.
