X-ray Crystallography (Z02)

Project Z2 provides state-of-the-art facilities and know-how for medium to high-throughput X-ray crystallography for validation, analysis and iterative improvement of the supramolecular compounds developed within the CRC. In the last funding period we solved structures of the mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase P5CDH in complex with the monophosphate- and diphosphate tweezers of project A3, of autoinhibited structures of DegS and trypsin, and we established expression and crystallization conditions for survivin. Iterative improvement of the supramolecular binders is in progress.
