Project Details
Adaptive Pervasive User Interfaces (B05)
Subject Area
Human Factors, Ergonomics, Human-Machine Systems
Term
from 2013 to 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 54371073
The subproject B5 focuses on an efficient and effective combination of projected displays and smart glasses. These modalities allow for an interaction between user and companion-system in a ubiquitous manner and focus on mobility and availability aspects of companion-technology. The research revolves around design, implementation and evaluation of novel input and output concepts for this technology. A second focus lies on the integration of unobtrusive biometric sensors into the smart glasses to be able to collect data for emotion- and disposition detection. The prototypes will then be evaluated in several formal user studies focusing not only on usability but also include evaluation approaches for adaptivity.
