Term
Funded in 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 245343020
The research group of the applicant is aiming to achieve single and few nuclear spin imaging and detection. In addition we plan to implement a novel spin Stylus method which mechanically communicates entanglement between distant stationary spins. To this end a novel low temperature high precision scanning magnetometer setup based on diamond spins should be used. The set up should allow for high fidelity detection of single defect center luminescence with Angström Position accuracy and versatile imaging capabilities. Equipped with a high magnetic field, Chemical shifts in NMR experiments should become accessible. Together with resolved J couplings chemically specific imaging should be achieved. Low temperature Operation will enhance probe sensitivity and probe positioning stability. It is the aim to detect and Image complex molecular structures, eventually with the visionary aim of imaging single molecule nuclear magnetic resonance.
