Project Details
Atomically Resolved Structure of Solid/Solid Interfaces (A05)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223848855
This project addresses the atomically resolved structure and composition of buried interfaces between two solids by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Thereto, the TEM methodology will be developed further by using precession electron diffraction as well as energy-filtered techniques. Several material systems, which are investigated also in the partner projects of the SFB, serve as model systems. The quantified structure of the heterointerfaces will be correlated to the growth conditions and optoelectronic properties as well as to electric fields, which arise at or across buried interfaces.
