Project Details
Inorganic/Organic and Organic/Organic Interfaces: Structure and Charge Transport (A02)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223848855
This project focuses on the preparation and characterisation of well-defined interfaces between different organic semiconductors (OSCs), or between OSCs and inorganic materials such as metals or 2D materials. By studying such interfaces with atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) as well as synchrotron-based photoelectron-spectroscopy (NEXAFS, XPS) and by correlating the obtained structural data with electrical and optical characterisation, we aim to provide a better understanding of charge injection/transport as well as excitonic processes at the interfaces.
