The project examines in particular the interplay of people, institutions, practices, objects, past political processes and media of knowledge transfer and shows how cultural heritage is created as a resource and part of larger ResourceComplexes or resource structures. For this, three interrelated ethnographic studies on cultural heritage conflicts and uses in South Asia (Polit), Germany (Thiemeyer) and an exhibition on South India's cultural heritage in Stuttgart (Alex) will be conducted.
